Our Commitment
Keep nutrition simple, affordable and accessible!
Navigating the road to better health can be difficult at best. When it comes to nutrition, most Americas are simply overwhelmed. Many choose to defer nutritional matters to their family physician who simply does not have the breath of knowledge to properly prescribe a course of action. What is the state of our health?
The United States currently spends 2.2 Trillion dollars every year to treat its declining health.
This translates to an annual cost 0f $7,200 per man, woman, and child in this country.
We spend more than twice the amount per capita than any other industrialized nation, and yet the U.S. ranks 50th (out of 52 industrial nations) in overall health according to the World Health Organization (WHO).
Did you know that almost 90% of personal bankruptcies in this country are due to illness-related expenses. Or how about the fact that Starbucks spends more money on health care than they do on coffee. Or that General Motors spends more money on health care than they do on steel for their cars. How about this – did you know that the U.S. represents 5% of the world's population, yet it consumes more than 50% of the world's pharmaceutical drugs? If drugs were the answer to our nation's health, we should be the healthiest nation in the world; not according to WHO.
Pharmaceutical drugs are not the answer! In fact, several major studies conducted by the National Institutes of Health have concluded that at least half of all illnesses are due to poor lifestyle habits – half! While this includes habits such as smoking and alcohol consumption, by far the greatest impact comes from the lack of: 1) exercise and 2) proper nutrition.

Is it that simple? Yes!
While there is little agreement as to the proper treatment of illness once it occurs, everyone agrees on one simple fact: people need to consume more fruits and vegetables! Volumes of research has shown that by dramatically increasing our consumption of fruits and vegetables, we can reduce our risk of developing many of the illnesses that plague us today such as diabetes, cancer, heart disease, stroke, obesity, and chronic inflammation. The problem is that most of us are unwilling to sit down and consume 5 -9 servings of fruits and vegetables each day; much less – 15, 20 or 25 servings. Although we know that we should eat more fruits and vegetables, we simply don't do it; often due to convenience or cost. Consequently, the average American only gets 1 ½ servings per day.
